Resurgens Technology Purchases Assurance Software

Resurgens Technology Partners has acquired the Assurance Business Continuity Management Planning (BCMP) software business from Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS) in a transaction that positions Assurance for further growth and expansion of its market leadership position.

“Assurance is already well positioned with over 650 global customers using its SaaS platform in a wide-open BCMP market,” said Adi Filipovic, Principal and Co-Founder of Resurgens. “As a standalone entity, coupled with our focus and expertise in developing software businesses, Assurance will further establish itself as the go-to solution for lowering risk, improving resilience and better managing business continuity.” The new company will retain the name Assurance Software and the website URL www.assurancesoftware.com.

Assurance helps businesses develop an end-to-end business continuity program, including business impact analysis, incident management, disaster recovery planning and reporting and emergency notification management. The Assurance Continuity Management offering, whose foundation relies on more than a decade of collaborating with customers on some of the most complex and demanding business continuity challenges across the globe, has been completely re-platformed to become a state-of-the-art, multi-tenant SaaS solution utilized by the Assurance Software customer community. The new SaaS platform combined with dozens of additional product updates over the last several years, allows users to better execute disaster recovery plans and communicate among team members.
